So I bought an iPad (actually so did my girl friend) and after finishing the order the money was reserved at my bank account. So far so good but then three or four days later the money was withdrawn. So far still so good even if one wish it would be faster with web orders, Internet and everything, if it wasn't because of the reservation still being in place. Suddenly I had paid for one iPad and had money for another one locked at my account. In effect I temporarily paid for two iPads. I called the bank and they told me that reservations can be in effect for seven bank days, not seven calendar days but bank days. That's nine calendar days since there will be a weekend in the period. And so the reservation did. Not until the last night the money was released. Now that could have been a one time mistake but it happened to my girl friend too.
Now i don't know who's the culprit here, Apple or bank or both. I guess Apple's to blame for not letting the reservation go when they withdrew the money. On the other hand one would think that reservations and withdrawals had to be matched but apparently not.
